While director David Ayer’s Suicide Squad received mixed reactions upon its release in 2016, the DC film proved to be a box office success and earned a legion of fans who continue to support it today. However, while most of Suicide Squad‘s detractors have been able to move on in the three years since the film debuted, others continue to express their grievances towards the David Ayer film on social media.
One of those detractors responded to a story on David Ayer apologizing for his crude comments towards Marvel by posting a Twitter message, saying he should apologize for directing Suicide Squad as well. In response, David Ayer told the Twitter user that he will never apologize for Suicide Squad and that he is proud of the film even with its flaws.

Here is the official synopsis for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad:
It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity.
U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
Written and directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, and Cara Delevingne.
Suicide Squad is now available on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
