David Ayer Reveals New Look At Parademons In ‘Suicide Squad’

David Ayer has revealed a new look at the Parademons that he intended to use for his 2015 superhero film, Suicide Squad.

Earlier today, David Ayer answered a question from a fan regarding a series of images that looked suspiciously like Parademons. The fan asked if the creatures in the images were intended to be the minions of the Suicide Squad‘s primary antagonist, Enchantress. David Ayer revealed that they were and that they were in fact Parademons, the foot soldiers of Darkseid.

Like many of the films that would follow it, David Ayer’s Suicide Squad was subjected to several changes following the mixed reception of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Like many of these films, however, it can be difficult to tell where David Ayer’s original vision for the film ended and where the studio’s version of it began. But because of the director’s Tweets, we know know that, at least at one point, Suicide Squad would have had Parademons serving as one of the main antagonists. Now, thanks to David Ayer, we have a new look at the Parademons that would have appeared in the film.

You can see David Ayer’s Parademons image for Suicide Squad below:

The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the Suicide Squad in his upcoming movie.

Written and directed by James Gunn, The Suicide Squad stars David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Jai Courtney, Joaquín Cosío, Nathan Fillion, Joel Kinnaman, Mayling Ng, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi, Alice Braga, Steve Agee, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Margot Robbie, and Michael Rooker.
