‘Suicide Squad’ Director David Ayer Has Kind Message For Hater

David Ayer had some kind words to say to a Suicide Squad hater.

Suicide Squad director David Ayer is well-known for interacting with fans on Twitter. After sharing some information about cut Justice League tie-ins in Suicide Squad, a vitriolic fan attacked David Ayer for the delivering a final product that didn’t appease them. The hater stated that anyone could have made Suicide Squad better and that David Ayer should ostensibly be ashamed of what he made.

2016’s Suicide Squad famously received middling responses from both fans and critics, with many noting that the film was almost unintelligible at times. David Ayer has always been a class-act when it comes to responding to criticism and this time was no different as the director responded back to the Suicide Squad hater by giving them a crash-course in how one should interact on the Twittersphere.

This is exactly how one should behave online, especially when they’re mocking someone who has a grand and passionate fanbase around them. Not to nit-pick an online hate-tweet but it’s also quite unlikely that a 10 year-old could manage studio heads, a large budget, and various A-list stars, all while filming extravagant action sequences that take months of planning .

David Ayer has been taking tons of flack for Suicide Squad, a film that was admittedly taken out of his hands at a certain point during production. Studio meddling resulted in a product that even David Ayer wasn’t necessarily proud of. Despite that, David Ayer has made a grand effort to give fans behind-the-scenes information and tidbits that didn’t make it into the final Suicide Squad film.
