‘Suicide Squad’: David Ayer Shares BTS Look At Joker’s Goons

Suicide Squad director David Ayer has shared a behind the scenes look at one of Joker’s goons in a panda costume.

Jared Leto’s take on the Joker in Suicide Squad played up the gangster part of the character way more than other live-screen iterations. One of Gotham’s most devious crime lords, Leto’s Joker employed tons of henchmen and goons to do his bidding all over the city. And while we didn’t get to see much of the Joker and his day-to-day exploits in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, we got a good enough look to know we want more.

Joker’s goons in Suicide Squad had fairly standard henchmen looks. However, when they were out and about on secretive missions for the big boss, they would put on disguises. If you remember, one of the most interesting disguises that one of Joker’s goons put on was a Batman mask during a robbery. Another memorable disguise from the film was a goon wearing a Panda costume, which David Ayer posted a behind-the-scenes look at on his Instagram stories.

Dubbed “Panda Man” for promotional materials, the Joker goon has the cute message “Friends Forever” stamped on its chest, the perfect message to see when you’re paid a visit by the Clown Prince of Crime. You can check out the Joker goon from Suicide Squad below.

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker.
