David Dastmalchian, who will reprise his role as Kurt in Marvel's 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' teases some exciting new developments in the anticipated sequel.
Ant-Man and the Wasp in particular is highly anticipated, given the success of Ant-Man in 2015. After an uphill battle in production following the departure of Edgar Wright, Marvel and Peyton Reed were able to bring the tiniest superhero to the big screen in such a great way. Thanks to a lovable protagonist in Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang, Ant-Man hit all the right marks thanks to its charm and wit.
Ant-Man also teased some exciting new developments when it concluded. During a mid-credits sequence, we see Hank Pym (Michael Douglass) introduce the Wasp suit to his daughter Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly). Thanks to this tease, fans will get the chance to see the dynamic duo of Ant-Man and the Wasp finally together in their full glory.
David Dastmalchian, who portrayed Kurt in the first Ant-Man is set to return for the sequel. Dastmalchian recently had the opportunity to tease the highly anticipated sequel. Although he couldn’t reveal much about the plot, his comments project some excitement:
I can say Ant-Man and the Wasp is going to do things in the Marvel universe that they haven’t gotten an opportunity to do yet and I just got some tidbits the other day and they’re mind-blowing. It’s going to be really cool.
One of the coolest aspects of Ant-Man was the filmmaking techniques to see the perspective of Scott Lang when he’s using the suit. Perhaps we will be seeing more inventive visuals in the sequel. Plus, throwing Wasp into the picture will definitely give Reed an exciting opportunity to explore flight.
Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp will fly into theaters on July 6, 2018.
Meanwhile, you can see Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in theaters now. Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into theaters on July 7, 2017 and Thor: Ragnarok will throw the hammer down in theaters on November 3, 2017.
