David Harbour Thinks ‘Black Widow’ Streaming Release Would Be ‘Fun’

David Harbour revealed he thinks it would be fun to release the recently-postponed Black Widow on a streaming service.

Two weeks ago, Disney officially delayed the theatrical release of Marvel Studios’ Black Widow due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. While many suspect Disney would never forfeit a theatrical run for a potential $1 billion film, others are hoping these unprecedented times will prompt the studio to release the Marvel Studios film digitally or on the Disney Plus streaming service.

Last week, David Harbour, who portrays Red Guardian in Black Widow, revealed that he wouldn’t be against seeing the film debut on Disney Plus. Now, David Harbour has reiterated that he thinks it would be fun to see the Marvel Studios film get a streaming service release while speaking to fans during an Instagram Q&A video:

“My publisher also sent me an email saying ‘Black Widow’ had been postponed and I think I replied ‘shocker.’ Wouldn’t it be fun if we all could just stream it? But that’s above my pay grade.”

Would you like to see the film get a streaming release or are you willing to wait so you can see it in theaters? Let us know in the comments section below!

Here is the official synopsis for Marvel Studios’ Black Widow:

In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Directed by Cate Shortland from a script written by Eric Pearson based on a story by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, the film stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, Olivier Richters, and Rachel Weisz.

Black Widow will be released on a future date to be determined.
