For months on end, fans have been dying to find out who will play Cable in Deadpool 2. It appears we may be close to finding out as a new report emerges.
Last month at the Golden Globes, actor Ryan Reynolds did not capture the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy nor did the film itself take the top prize for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Of course, that will not end the anticipation for Deadpool 2 or the speculation on who will be cast in the role of Cable, confirmed to appear in the upcoming sequel since the end of the first film. However, word on who will land the role is likely still a while away as Ryan Reynolds told MTV News the casting process is still ongoing.
During a red-carpet interview with MTVNews, Reynolds explained that they were still searching for someone to play Cable.
Still working on it, everybody’s still working on it. We’re not gonna start ’til we’re ready
Would you like to see Harbour as Cable in the Deadpool sequel?
“Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a former Special Forces operative who now works as a mercenary. His world comes crashing down when evil scientist Ajax (Ed Skrein) tortures, disfigures and transforms him into Deadpool. The rogue experiment leaves Deadpool with accelerated healing powers and a twisted sense of humor. With help from mutant allies Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Deadpool uses his new skills to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life.”
Deadpool 2, starring Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapicic as Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin a.k.a. Colossus and Karan Soni as Dopinder, is reportedly eyed for a 2018 release. John Wick’s David Leitch is directing the untitled sequel, which was written Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first installment.
