David Harbour Calls ‘Stranger Things’ Creators During Interview For Hopper’s Fate

Stranger Things star David Harbour called the Duffer Brothers on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers to confirm Hopper’s fate.

David Harbour appeared on the late night talk show and was asked by Seth Meyers about whether or not he knows if he will return to Stranger Things, which Netflix recently renewed for a fourth season. David Harbour reflected on the finale of Stranger Things 3, where Hopper seemingly sacrifices himself in the big climax at Starcourt Mall. Stranger Things 3 ended with a post-credits scene that teases that Hopper may have survived and is “the American” being kept in the custody of the Russians.

However, David Harbour reveals that he “hadn’t gotten many phone calls” and is certain that the Duffer Brothers are the only people that truly know if Hopper is alive. With that in mind, David Harbour greeted the Duffer Brothers on a FaceTime call during the Late Night interview to which they expressed that they were “still figuring it out.” You can watch David Harbour’s latest interview on Late Night down below:

In true Duffer Brothers fashion, details regarding David Harbour’s potential return to Stranger Things are likely to remain under wraps for a long time.

In the meantime, fans can re-watch the third season of Stranger Things on Netflix.

“It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.”

Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Dacre Montgomery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, and Cara Buono.

Stranger Things 3 is now available on Netflix.
