NBC has made some major decisions regarding future series. The DC Comics' half-hour comedy Powerless has been picked up for series and will be on the 2016-2017 schedule. Powerless originally had started with a pilot order. Powerless will focus on the exceedingly average employees at an insurance company that is considered to be one of the worst in America, this company also happens to be within the DC Comics universe. The show takes place in “Charm City” and is focused mostly within an office building setting. The office is located nearby a Big Belly Burger, which Flash and Arrow fans might recognize as a popular franchise that is often mentioned by both shows. The Powerless cast has been expanding, recently adding Danny Pudi (Community), Christina Kirk (A to Z) and Alan Tudyk (Firefly). All three will be series regulars along side Vanessa Hudgens. This pickup for NBC marks their entry into the superhero TV game. The network passed on Constantine a year ago. For those keeping track, DC now has give series on the 2016-2017 TV schedule, with the jury still out on what will happen with Supergirl. Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, which all air on the CW have been renewed for another season. On going rumors indicate that CBS' Supergirl might be moving to the CW network for a second season. Along with the series announcement, a new poster and images has been released for the show.
