DC Comics Pays Tribute To Stan Lee In New Comic Book Releases

DC Comics and Marvel have been known as the top two contenders in the comic book industry and fans have always compared the works between the two. Throughout time, both companies have praised each other for their achievements in the comic book and film industry and most recently, DC had something to share. In this week’s comic book releases, DC has featured a tribute to late Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee.

Stan Lee passed away in November 2018 at the age of 95. Since his passing, an immense amount of fans across the world and in the industry have shared their thoughts and tributes to the iconic Marvel writer, editor, and publisher. Stan Lee is a huge figure in the comic book industry and more people around the world have gotten to know him through his comic book film cameos.

In the comic book industry, Stan Lee has been present in both Marvel and DC Comics. Lee, like many other comic book writers and artists, was not shy to have placed his print on both companies known to be the biggest two in the industry. Lee was able to include his style of writing and even create a new character in DC comics. The last project he had for DC Comics was a story in DC Presents: Superman #1. Lee’s work is a great example of how a comic book world icon can help bring fans together to enjoy the characters so many love.

In film, Stan Lee has always enjoyed the characters from both Marvel and DC and had offered interest in doing a cameo on a DC film. This was able to come true in Warner Bros Pictures’ Teen Titans GO! to the Movies. In the film, Lee cameos as himself by poking fun at the subtle cameos that he does for films. He cameos once again during the film’s climax. It was an incredible sight for comic book fans to see the Marvel icon in a DC film.
