New DC ‘Titans’ Promo Throws Shade At Deadpool

The latest promo for the highly anticipated DC’s Titans series is so dark it throws some serious shade in the direction of Marvel antihero Deadpool.

The promo starts off by quoting the infamous ball busting DC line in Deadpool 2 when confronted by Josh Brolin’s Cable. The quote reads…

“So dark…you sure you’re not from the DC Universe?”

This is hilariously credited to…

“D. Pool, American Philosopher.”

Then a series of shots begins to play that thoroughly illustrates the darkness of the series with depictions of sheer, unrelenting violence. After they dropped the proof of a being totally cool with being a dark universe, they politley offer the Merc with a Mouth some very fitting final words.

“To that we say… Suck it, Mr. Pool.”

These final words were keenly attributed to…

“With Love, the DC Universe.”

Titans promises to be the most violent and darkly toned TV series DC has ever developed and from the looks of this latest promo it will keep its word. The Titans will continue to throw shade and fight crime when they finally make their debut on the DC Universe this month.

What are your thoughts on the Titan’s hostility towards the Merc with a Mouth? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

Here is the synopsis for Titans:

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

The series stars Brenton Thwaites as Richard “Dick” Grayson / Robin, Anna Diop as Koriand’r / Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth / Raven, and Ryan Potter as Garfield “Gar” Logan / Beast Boy.

Titans premieres on Friday, October 12 on the DC Universe.
