DC Universe To Have New Animated Films Available Day-And-Date Of Release

DC Universe has been promoted as the ultimate service for subscribers to consume some of the most exciting content from DC Comics, including their exclusive series Titans – which will air its season finale next week on December 21. Now, it has been announced that upcoming DC animated films will be available on DC Universe through day-and-date releases along with the 4K and Blu-ray combo pack.

Along with the release of a brand new trailer for the season finale of Titans teasing a battle between Robin and Batman, DC Universe also announced the news of day-and-date releases for new animated films. Here’s an excerpt from their press release:

“To further brighten the holiday season, DC UNIVERSE announced that new DC Universe animated movies will be available on DC UNIVERSE on the same day as each title’s 4K and Blu-Ray Combo pack release. New DC animated movies coming in 2019 include Reign of the Supermen, Justice League vs The Fatal Five and Batman: Hush. Reign of the Supermen will be available January 29, other dates will be announced closer to their availability.”

Fans who are subscribers to DC Universe will now have the opportunity to view newly-released animated films on the service the day it is officially released to the public through home media and other digital downloads. Although this is the plan for new animated films, it is unknown if DC Universe will follow suit with their upcoming live-action films such as Aquaman when that becomes available on 4K, Blu-Ray and DVD.
