‘Deadpool 2’: Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead Returning

Collider is exclusively reporting that Deadpool 2 will feature the return of two fan-favorite characters from the original film. Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) will rejoin Ryan Reynolds’ Merc With a Mouth, in this film now helmed by John Wick director David Leitch.

Collider Editor-In-Chief Steve Weintraub had an exclusive interview with screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, whom revealed that this hilarious duo of mutants would return:

PAUL WERNICK: I can’t say how much they are…

RHETT REESE: I think we can say. Yeah, they’ll be in the sequel.

WERNICK: Yeah, they’ll make at least an appearance.

I loved the dynamic that Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead shared with each other even before they shared the screen with Deadpool. One of the funniest moments from the original film was when Colossus delivered a special speech about being a hero, trying to convince Deadpool not to pull the trigger on Ajax (Ed Skrein) – only to throw up after Deadpool kills him. With these two along with Dopinder returning for the sequel, I am curious to see who else will return for the film.

Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a former Special Forces operative who now works as a mercenary. His world comes crashing down when evil scientist Ajax (Ed Skrein) tortures, disfigures and transforms him into Deadpool. The rogue experiment leaves Deadpool with accelerated healing powers and a twisted sense of humor. With help from mutant allies Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Deadpool uses his new skills to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
