Here's a new look at Jets offensive lineman Dakoda Shepley preparing to play the role of X-Men villain Omega Red in Deadpool 2
Among the details reported with the upcoming home release of Deadpool 2 was that X-Men villain Omega Red would make an appearance in the film, and now we have more information about Omega Red, played by Jets offensive lineman Dakoda Shepley.
Before signing with the Jets, Shepley also signed for something else: an appearance as a featured extra in a big-budget comic book film. And that film just happened to be Deadpool 2. Have a look at Shelpey as Omega Red in the image below.
Shepley was booked for 21 days of shooting for Deadpool 2 in July, which initially clashed with his training camp with the Jets, which began in August. As such, the 21 days of shooting for his Omega Red appearance was condensed down to a single day. He even acknowledged that, were there more time in his schedule, he could have had a larger appearance in Deadpool 2 than he did. There’s a scene in the Deadpool sequel of Shepley without makeup and in another scene he’s behind Wade Wilson.
Are you looking forward to seeing Shelpey as Omega Red in the home release of Deadpool 2? And do you hope to see him appear in a subsequent X-Men film? Perhaps as an antagonist in Drew Goddard’s X-Force? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information on the extended cut of Deadpool 2 as San Diego Comic-Con approaches.
The Super Duper Cut of Deadpool 2 will be released on Blu-Ray on August 21st.
