‘Deadpool 2’ Set Photos Reveal Cable Stunt Double & Vehicle Action

We may have received our first look at Josh Brolin’s Cable earlier, but that’s not all the Cable goodness we’re getting out of Deadpool 2 today. Set photos and footage show off what Josh Brolin’s stunt double looks like during filming of one of the movie’s set pieces.

Thanks to activity on the Twittersphere, we’ve got a good look at what Cable looks like prior to being covered with digital effects. The actor serving as the Cable stunt double was involved with a stunt involving wire work and a truck, as you can see below:

The massive truck signals that Deadpool 2 is going to have bigger setpieces this time around, though Ryan Reynolds and the creative team involved have suggested that the film’s scale will be similar to the first movie, so don’t expect the movie to be a $200M CGI-fest.

Deadpool 2 is gunning for a June 1, 2018 release date. Its cast includes Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson (Deadpool), Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, T. J. Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapi?i? as Piotr Rasputin (Colossus), Zazie Beetz as Neena Thurman (Domino), Josh Brolin as Nathan Summers (Cable), and Jack Kesy as Black Tom Cassidy.
