Leitch played coy when asked if the old man in the teaser was Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben:
“That’s a really interesting question. I think that people should continue to theorize who that old man was.”
While an official connection between the Spider-Man and Deadpool cinematic universes is unlikely, by neither denying or confirming the identity of the elderly victim, David Leitch has probably ensured that the theory will live on for the foreseeable future.
