One of the many things that made Tim Miller’s Deadpool such a great movie was its fantastic fight choreography, which was accomplished thanks to Stunt Fight Coordinator Phillip J. Silvera, who is known for his work on numerous Marvel projects. For example, the highly acclaimed fight sequence between Daredevil and Nobu on the Netflix series.
Rolling Stone have released a new video featuring Silvera, giving us some insight on the work that goes into these complex fight sequences. The video also features snippets of awesome behind-the-scenes action from the set of Deadpool, so be sure to check it out below and sound-off your thoughts in the comment section afterwards.
“Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.”
Deadpool is currently playing in theaters everywhere and breaking box office records left and right. How many times have you seen the movie?
