‘Once Upon A Deadpool’ Post-Credits Scenes Include Stan Lee Tribute

Once Upon A Deadpool is now playing in theaters and the new post-credits scenes include a tribute to the late Stan Lee.

Fox has released a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 that includes new footage of the Merc with a Mouth recounting the events of the film to a captive Fred Savage. This new material includes a scene before the post-credits sequences officially begin in which Deadpool and Savage express their love for stingers. Once the post-credits scenes from the original release conclude, a new sequence finds the Merc with a Mouth finally releasing Fred Savage and helping him out of the room while his legs duct taped together, with the crew later being revealed when the camera pulls back.

However, perhaps the most interesting post-credits scenes are the outtakes from the Deadpool 2 teaser featuring Stan Lee. Fans are first treated to footage of the late comic book legend trying alternate lines, including “Isn’t your suit supposed to be green?” and “Wow, it’s Ryan Gosling!” Then a tribute begins playing as Stan Lee discusses the characters he created, their continued popularity, and closes the tribute by saying, “we wrote some good stories.”

Once Upon a Deadpool is now playing for a limited engagement that concludes on Christmas Eve.

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Directed by David Leith from a script written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy.

Deadpool 2 is now available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
