‘Once Upon A Deadpool’ End Credits Hilariously Rips On Josh Brolin & X-Force

It seems the Deadpool 2 inspired film about superteam X-Force is a well-elaborated sham to keep Josh Brolin at FOX and we all bought it!

At least that’s what Once Upon A Deadpool, the moderated version of Deadpool 2, showed us in one of the end credits scene. If you remember, Wade Wilson/Deadpool changes the events surrounding the hilarious deaths of X-Force when they’re dropping from an airplane to rescue Julian Dennison’s Russel. While the whole team still dies in a hilarious manner, Deadpool only saves Rob Delaney’s Peter and tells him to walk away. Once Upon A Deadpool changes one line in Wilson’s dialogue and tells Peter that X-Force was just a marketing tool designed by FOX to keep Josh Brolin employed:

Wade: PETER!

Peter: WOO HOO – X-Force!

Wade: Peter! Walk…away! Just walk away

Peter: But, we’re X-Force.

Wade: Nope. We’re not. X-Force is just a marketing tool designed by Fox executives to keep Josh Brolin employed. It doesn’t exist.

Peter: Well, this has been pretty scary. And I need to feed my cats.

Wade: Go home sugar bear. Go home.

Peter: Okay, will you give Domino my email?

Of course, this is only a rather elaborated bit done by writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to keep us guessing about the uncertainty of the X-Force film. The movie is reportedly being directed and penned by Drew Goddard but the Disney/FOX merger is still having us wondering if it will ever happen anytime soon. Deadpool 3 is also allegedly under development by Reese, Wernick and Ryan Reynolds himself.

Do you think the X-Force film is a well-elaborated lie to keep Josh Brolin at FOX? Comment below!

Directed by David Leith from a script written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy.

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Once Upon A Deadpool is available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
