Daniel Radcliffe became a superstar after his portrayal of Harry Potter in the Wizarding World franchise and it seems some fans may want him for another popular franchise. There have been rumors circulating that have suggested the boy who lived could become the next Wolverine. While there have been some fans that might have liked the news there are other fans of the character that have had a different reaction to the rumors. Recently, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld shared his reaction to the Daniel Radcliffe Wolverine rumors on Twitter. Here’s what he had to say.
It appears that the Deadpool creator would rather not have a big name or A-list celebrity take on the claws. Rob Liefeld would rather have an unknown actor take on the Wolverine much like how Hugh Jackman was a relative newcomer before he took on the role for X-Men in 2000. While not a bad idea, Rob Liefeld’s reaction to the news is an interesting and one fans have had about the Wolverine casting news as well. While there are many great actors that could portray the iconic Marvel hero, fans have suggested actors that have not had their big break yet or an unknown.
After Hugh Jackman gave an amazing performance in 2017’s Logan as the titular character, the actor has left some big claws to fill for the next interpretation of the character. There have even been fans that would rather have the actor return one last time so that he could stand alongside other popular heroes or at least Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. With the two actors usually exchanging smart remarks about one another it seems having both of them in a scene together would be a dream come true for many fans.
