‘Deadpool’ Star Ryan Reynolds Trolls Dwayne Johnson’s Tequila Brand Launch

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds responded to the launch of Dwayne Johnson’s tequila line by touting the success of his own alcohol brand.

Yesterday, Dwayne Johnson unveiled his own brand of tequila, Teremana Tequila, on his official Instagram. In the caption included with the post, Dwayne Johnson explained that his tequila brand should be available sometime in the first quarter of 2020.

In response to Dwayne Johnson’s announcement, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds shared a social media post to congratulate himself on the success of his own Aviation Gin. In 2018, Ryan Reynolds acquired a stake in the brand from Davos Brand and since then, the Deadpool star’s beverage was named the best tasting celebrity alcohol brand by Vine Pair, a fact he made sure to mention to Dwayne Johnson.

Deadpool’s cinematic future remains unclear for the time being following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. However, Ryan Reynolds recently teased a meeting with Marvel Studios, suggesting both parties are discussing potential plans for future Deadpool films.

Dwayne Johnson currently has several projects lined-up, including Jungle Cruise and DC’s Black Adam. The next film starring Dwayne Johnson will be the third entry in the Jumani film series, The Next Level.
