Today, Emma Watts announced she has resigned as vice chairman and president of production at 20th Century Studios. Having served as the chief of 20th Century Studios long before Disney purchased the studio, Emma Watts was one of the few Fox executives to retain their post after the acquisition.
Now, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has taken to his official Twitter account to post a message to Emma Watts in the wake of her resignation. In the post, Ryan Reynolds credits Emma Watts with helping make sure Deadpool was made and ensuring the film turned out as well as it did. At the end of the message, Ryan Reynolds noted that he hopes to continue working with Watts wherever she decides to go in the future.

Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that he is working on a Deadpool sequel with Marvel Studios. However, there has been no official word on where Ryan Reynolds’ third Deadpool film might fit into Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 or 5 line-ups.
