The Deadpool/Wolverine team-up that fans have been wanting to see continues to get teased by actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
Ever since the first Deadpool hit theaters in 2016, fans have been wanting to see the Merc With a Mouth team up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, especially considering their history together. In 2009, Jackman and Reynolds infamously co-starred in the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The two actors constantly tease fans by being playful on social media but there’s no telling if or when it will actually happen. Jackman was recently talking about the role of Wolverine and his potential to return in the future and that’s when Deadpool himself Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to respond. Check out the hilarious post below.
He may not be teaming up with Wolverine but if you do want to see more of the Merc With a Mouth on the big screen, you’re in luck. This December, a new cut of Deadpool 2 is hitting theaters titled Once Upon A Deadpool. The film is a PG-13 re-cut of the sequel that was released earlier this summer, but with a twist that includes the Merc With a Mouth forcing Fred Savage to listen to the story in the style of The Princess Bride.
Some of the proceeds from the film will be going to charity, so it’s not as cynical as it might sound. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Deadpool as soon as more information becomes available. How would you like to see the two Marvel icons team-up?
