Courtesy of Charles Murphy of That Hashtag Show, Murphy took to his Twitter earlier today to announce that Deathstroke will be the main antagonist in the second season of Titans on DC Universe. That was about it. Nothing on casting, reasoning, or what would lead to this. Heck, what about Trigon? We’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime, have a look at the Titans announcement in the tweet below:
When it comes to adaptations, Deathstroke has had a healthy career. You’ve had Ron Perlman voicing him in the animated Teen Titans series, Manu Bennett portraying him on Arrow, and on the DC Extended Universe side of things, Deathstroke also had a brief cameo appearance in the post-credits scene of Justice League. There, he was portrayed by Joe Manganiello. We’ll have to see what the future holds in store for him when we see that take of Deathstroke return.
But as far as Titans is concerned, what do you think about this news? Are you excited to see Deathstroke as part of the DC Universe? Are there other antagonists that you would hope to eventually see make their debut or presence known on Titans? More than that, who do you hope to see step into the role of Slade Wilson in the series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
The first season of Titans is currently available on the DC Universe streaming service.
