First Look At Deathstroke Animated Series Coming To CW Seed

We have our first look at the recently-announced Deathstroke animated series coming to the CW Seed streaming platform.

A slew of DC television news came out yesterday with the official synopsis for many CW shows being revealed as well as a first look at the upcoming Batwoman series starring Ruby Rose. However, long time Arrowverse fans were treated to a bit of unexpected news when it was announced that CW seed will be launching a new animated series revolving around Deathstroke.

Many fans know Deathstroke from his live-action appearance in the first two seasons of Arrow. In his time on Arrow, Deathstroke became a fan-favorite villain, with many praising actor Manu Bennett for his terrifying performance as the iconic DC Comics character. Though the character’s presence on Arrow has decreased in the past few seasons, many fans still mark Bennett’s Deathstroke as a highlight for the series. When the surprise announcement came out, fans were floored. Now, CW Seed has released the first official mage from the upcoming series. You can check it out below.

The last time fans saw Deathstroke on screen was in Arrow season six. However, with the recent announcement of Arrow‘s eighth season being its last, many fans were worried that we had seen the last of the character. While there is no word on whether actor Manu Bennett will return to voice Deathstroke, it seems that The CW still has plans for the character. Are you excited for the Deathstroke animated series? Do you think Manu Bennett will reprise his role? Let us know in the comments down below!

Deathstroke will next appear on the second season of DC Universe’s Titans, with Esai Morales portraying the iconic DC Comics character.

Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Richard “Dick” Grayson / Robin, Anna Diop as Koriand’r / Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth / Raven, and Ryan Potter as Garfield “Gar” Logan / Beast Boy. The series is also making a few additions for its sophomore outing, with Joshua Orpin and Esai Morales playing Superboy and Deathstroke, respectively. Chella Man and Chelsea T. Zhang have also joined Titans as Deathstroke’s children. Furthermore, Game of Thrones star Iain Glen is set to play Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. Batman.

Titans is now available exclusively on DC Universe in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
