Desmond Chiam & Miki Ishikawa Join ‘The Falcon And The Winter Soldier’

Reef Break star Desmond Chiam and The Terror: Infamy star Miki Ishikawa have joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Marvel Studios’ line-up of original shows for Disney Plus is set to include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which follows the titular duo after the events of Avengers: Endgame and the retirement of their close friend, Captain America. While fans have known that The Falcon and Winter Soldier will feature multiple returning characters associated with Captain America, Deadline now reports that Desmond Chiam and Miki Ishikawa have joined the cast of newcomers in the series.

Unfortunately, details on Desmond Chiam and Miki Ishikawa’s roles in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are currently being kept under wraps. Disney reportedly declined to comments on the casting of Desmond Chiam and Miki Ishikawa.

In addition to his role in Reef Break, Desmond Chiam is also known for starring in the Starz series Now Apocalypse, Paramount Network’s The Shannara Chronicles, and Disney’s Magic Camp. Miki Ishikawa’s credits include Yours, Mine & Ours,  Sway Funny People, and Zoey 101.

The Falcon and Winter Soldier is currently set to be the first Marvel Studios series to debut on Disney Plus. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the series is rumored to center on Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as the former finds himself facing resistance from the United States government and its opposition to him taking on the Captain America mantle.

Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, The Falcon and Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent.

The Falcon and Winter Soldier will debut on Disney+ in late 2020.
