Report: Disney Warned By Lawyers About Future Of Marvel Netflix Characters

Lawyers have reportedly advised Disney that they can’t even consider developing content based on the Marvel Netflix characters for another two years.

Netflix has ended many fan-favorite Marvel television shows that include Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. Now, those heroes may be able to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe since their contracts have ended with Netflix, but the transition will not be as easy.

A new report from IndieWire claims that lawyers have even contacted Disney about the future of the Marvel Netflix shows. The report claims that Disney can’t “even think about” developing new projects with the Marvel Netflix characters.

Netflix kicked off its own Marvel universe when Daredevil debuted in 2015, but fans have been hoping to see the famous Marvel Netflix heroes alongside other famous MCU heroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Hulk. Disney has helped the Marvel family grow a lot more over the years with its twenty-two interconnected films and most recently acquiring more heroes like the X-Men and Fantastic Four.

What are your thoughts on Disney reportedly not being able to feature the Marvel Netflix heroes in projects for another two years? Are you excited to see Disney and Marvel bring more heroes into their universe? Share your thoughts below!

Here’s the official synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.
