Disney Plus will be home to an extensive library of films and television series owned by The Walt Disney Company. But along with that extensive library will come numerous exclusive films and television series that will only be available through Disney Plus.
Some of these upcoming exclusive series include standalone Marvel Cinematic Universe shows centered on Loki, Scarlet Witch, and the dynamic duo of Falcon & Winter Soldier. Disney Plus will also be home to two brand new live-action series set in the Star Wars franchise. The first, which is currently in production will be The Mandalorian by Jon Favreau and the second will be a series centered on Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), which will be a prequel series set before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Iger says that Disney Plus is expected to launch in late 2019, so those looking forward to seeing some of these upcoming new exclusive series and films can expect to see them at some point later next year.
