Disney+ International Roll-Out Dates & Costs Officially Revealed

Disney announced new details on international debut dates and costs for its upcoming streaming service.

Earlier this year, Disney announced that the Disney Plus streaming service will launch in the United States on November 12, 2019. Now, the company has revealed that Disney Plus will launch on November 12 in Canada and the Netherlands followed by its debut in Australia and New Zealand on November 19. Disney is currently in negotiations regarding launch dates for the streaming service in several more territories.

In Canada, Disney Plus will cost subscribers C$8.99 per month or $89.99 per year while viewers in Holland will be charged €6.99 per month or €69.99 per year. The cost in Australia will be A$8.99 per month or $89.99 per year while subscribers in New Zealand can choose between NZ$9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.

Viewers will be able to subscribe to Disney Plus directly or through in-app purchases. The service will also be available on platforms including Apple, Google, Microsoft’s Xbox One, Sony’s Android TVs and the Playstation 4, and Roku.

Television projects being developed for the service include Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, WandaVision, Hawkeye, and What If?. Furthermore, the Stars Wars franchise will expand with the Mandalorian, a series centered on Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor, and an Obi-Wan Kenobi show starring Ewan McGregor.

Features films include remakes of Lady and the Tramp, Home Alone, and Night at the Museum.
