Disneyland Proposes July Reopening Dates For Resort

Disneyland has officially proposed various July reopening dates for its parks and resorts after its closing due to Covid-19.

The coronavirus affected many industries and businesses and Disney was no exception to this. When it became clear the pandemic was spreading throughout the United States, Disney shut down the productions of its films and television shows and closed its various theme parks such as Disneyland. This marked the third time the resort had been shut down with the first due to the assassination of President John Kennedy and the second due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Now, however, Disney seems ready to reopen its resort.

Earlier today Disney announced that they have developed a phased opening of the Disneyland Resort. The Downtown Disney District will be the first to reopen on July 9th. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Part will then reopen on July 17th. Finally, Disney’s Grand California Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will reopen their doors on July 23rd. The capacity for all of these, however, will be extremely limited in order do abide by government regulations and promoting social distance practices.

Disneyland is said to be opening with enhanced health and safety measures but what that actually means for guests is currently unknown  and will be announced at a later date. Anyone who will wish to go to Disneyland will have to book a trip in advance. Furthermore whatever health and saftey regulations the park employs will be subject to change as regulations from the government evolve as well.
