In celebration of today’s IMAX 3D sneak peek of Doctor Strange, Marvel has shared a brand new featurette exploring the “Universes Within” the realms of this newest chapter in their Cinematic Universe.
The video features Kevin Feige, Benedict Cumberbatch and Scott Derrickson expressing how the film’s explosive visuals are ideal for the IMAX 3D experience. Some of the footage found in this featurette is already mind-blowing to watch on a laptop, and the thought of seeing this on one of IMAX’s screens in 3D boasts that this film will be like an E-Ticket thrill ride attraction created by Marvel Studios.
Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
Directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, Tilda Swinton, Benedict Wong, Amy Landecker and Scott Adkins, Doctor Strange opens in theaters on November 4, 2016.
