The cast of Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming continues to grow as Deadline has revealed that The Martian star Donald Glover has signed on to star alongside Tom Holland in the highly anticipated movie, which will be directed by John Watts.
The identity of Glover’s character is being kept tightly under wraps, so we don’t know whether he’ll be playing a comic book character or an original one. One character that many fans would definitely want to see him play in a Spider-Man movie would be Miles Morales, but that’s highly unlikely given his age.
The actor joins an impressive cast which so far includes Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier, Michael Barbieri and Kenneth Choi. More cast members will likely be revealed soon as the project is currently gearing up to kick off production in Atlanta.
The plot of the movie is also surrounded by secrecy, but one thing that we do know is that Keaton will be playing The Vulture. Rumor has it that he will be aided by The Tinkerer, who is another villain that will be making his big screen debut in the movie.
