Most muggles are aware of the Pottermore Patronus Quiz that allows its users to answer a bunch of questions in order to reveal their specific Patronus. For those of you who are unaware of what a Patronus is, it’s a spell that takes the shape of the animal that represents who you are in order to fend off hooded Dementors. Well, to the surprise of some quiz takers, the animal that represents them is apparently a very specific animal: Harambe. Too soon guys, too soon.
In reality, the gorilla is not one of the Patronus’ that you can get on the Pottermore Quiz, but some creative prankster over at theCHIVE decided to Photoshop an image of a Harambe Patronus anyway. The author of the Harry Potter book series responded to the mock photo, admitting she found the humor in it, but debunking it as an (obvious) fake. According to J.K. Rowling:
“I’ve been asked to make it clear that Harambe is not a Patronus you can actually get on @pottermore.”
Check out the Twitter exchange between theCHIVE and J.K. Rowling below:
Thanks for clearing that one up, J.K Rowling! Now I won’t spend the next couple hours retaking that Patronus Quiz over and over again until I get Harambe.
Are you disappointed you’ll never have Harambe as a Patronus? Make sure to sound off below while you can, because this is probably the only time you’ll ever see us reporting on Harambe here at Heroic Hollywood.
