First ‘Doom Patrol’ Teaser Officially Released

DC Universe has released the first official look at the highly-anticipated Doom Patrol series with a brand new teaser giving us our best glimpse at what’s to come.

Doom Patrol is a spin-off from Titans. The Doom Patrol is a team of unusual superheroes that would work together to stop equally-bizarre threats in the comics.

The series hails from mega-producer Greg Berlanti, landing a 13-episode, straight-to-series order at DC Universe. Jeremy Carver has written the series and executive producing alongside Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns.

Doom Patrol is a reimagining of one of DC’s strangest group of outcast Super Heroes which includes: Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor/Negative Man, Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele/Robotman, April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, Joivan Wade as Victor Stone/Cyborg and Timothy Dalton as Dr. Niles Caulder/The Chief. Here’s the official synopsis:

DOOM PATROL IS A REIMAGINING OF ONE OF DC’S MOST BELOVED GROUP OF OUTCAST SUPERHEROES: ROBOTMAN, NEGATIVE MAN, ELASTI-GIRL AND CRAZY JANE AND LED BY MODERN-DAY MAD SCIENTIST DR. NILES CAULDER (THE CHIEF). THE DOOM PATROL’S MEMBERS EACH SUFFERED ACCIDENTS THAT GAVE THEM SUPERHUMAN ABILITIES — BUT ALSO LEFT THEM SCARRED AND DISFIGURED. TRAUMATIZED AND DOWNTRODDEN, THE TEAM FOUND PURPOSE THROUGH THE CHIEF, WHO BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER TO INVESTIGATE THE WEIRDEST PHENOMENA IN EXISTENCE — AND TO PROTECT EARTH FROM WHAT THEY FIND. Doom Patrol will premiere on February 15, 2019 exclusively on DC Universe.
