In Marvel's 'Avengers: Infinity War', we will see Drax (Dave Bautista) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) interact together.
Both Drax and Tony Stark have humor that is ingrained within their character. This is due to both Bautista and Robert Downey Jr. having great comedic timing. Granted, we have only seen their comedic dynamics in respect to the teams they are part of, but now we will see how these two characters’ personalities play out together onscreen.
Bautista spoke with Chris Jericho on the “Talk is Jericho” podcast to promote Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Jericho asked Bautista about Avengers: Infinity War – particularly on whether or not he shares scenes with Downey.
Chris Jericho: How do you feel like, when you walk into the room or whatever it is, table read or something, and Robert Downey Jr. is there, did you do some scenes with Iron Man?
Dave Bautista: [hesitant] Um…..
Chris: Yes.
Dave: HAHAHAHA. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Even though dark times are ahead for both the Avengers and the Guardians, Infinity War will still have the signature humor that helped make the MCU the cultural phenomenon that it is now. Hopefully, Drax’s dynamic with the rest of the Infinity War characters will be showcased as well. In particular, I would love to see him and Thor share a drink. Seriously, the jokes write themselves sometimes.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is now playing in theaters. Meanwhile, Avengers: Infinity War will open in theaters on May 4, 2018.
