Last month, Pretty Little Liars alumn Drew Van Acker shared a photo teasing his role on the second season of Titans, with many suspecting the actor was portraying DC’s Aqualad. Now, Drew Van Ackers casting as Aqualad has been confirmed, with Warner Bros. TV and DC Comics describing the character as a”founding member of the Titans and Aquaman’s eager sidekick.”
Drew Van Acker’s version of Aqualad will be an Atlantis-born member of the royal court who was trained to protect life in and out of the ocean by Aquaman. As the aforementioned source explains, Aqualad “would eventually step out from the shadow of his mentor to become his own hero as a Titan along with many other former sidekicks.”
