‘Dunkirk’ Soundtrack Cover Art & Tracklist Revealed

Warner Bros. has revealed the official cover art as well as the tracklist for the soundtrack to Christoper Nolan's upcoming war epic Dunkirk.

Warner Bros. has revealed the official cover art as well as the tracklist for the soundtrack to Christoper Nolan’s upcoming war epic Dunkirk.

Based on true events, Dunkirk tells the story of when allied forces were surrounded by the German army during World War II. The narrative itself is divided into three separate points of view, following those in the air, in the sea, and on the beach.

For the score, Nolan once again turned to Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer to set the tone for the narrative about survival and despair. In a statement released, Nolan explained how Zimmer’s score helps drive the action and immerse the audience into the film:

“Dunkirk is one of the greatest suspense stories of all time, and our film needed a score to reflect that and to propel the audience through a telling of this story that is more thriller than war film. Hans’ unique score drives the visceral sense of action the film needs to put the audience right into the story, using images, sound, and music.”

The Dunkirk: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be available on July 21 but is already up for pre-order. You can check out the cover art and tracklist below.
