Dwayne Johnson Reveals New Look At Idris Elba In ‘Fast & Furious’ Spinoff ‘Hobbs & Shaw’

Dwayne Johnson has taken to social media to give fans a new look at Idris Elba as the villain Brixton in the upcoming first-ever Fast & Furious spinoff officially titled Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw.

Johnson shared the image on his Instagram account this weekend, revealing Elba flanked by himself and Jason Statham. Plot details remain under wraps but the film will feature an unlikely team-up between Johnson’s Hobbs and Statham’s Deckard Shaw while also introducing a new member of the Shaw family played by Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible – Fallout).

In his post, Johnson teased the upcoming blockbuster as the “biggest showdown the summer has ever seen,” while also offering fans an inside look at a massive set which will be featured in the spin-off. The trio appears to be suited up and ready for high-octane action in the image. You can check out his post below!

Hobbs & Shaw is being directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2) from a script written by franchise veteran Chris Morgan. Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz and Seven Bucks Productions’ Hiram Garcia are producing the film. Here’s the official synopsis:

“A spinoff of The Fate of the Furious, focusing on Johnson’s US Diplomatic Security Agent Luke Hobbs forming an unlikely alliance with Statham’s Deckard Shaw.”

The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vanessa Kirby, Eddie Marsan, Eiza Gonzalez, and Idris Elba.
