‘Hobbs & Shaw’: Big Game Spot Teases The Dwayne Johnson Jason Statham Team-Up

Following the release of the first official action-packed trailer earlier this week, Universal Pictures has released an official Super Bowl spot for the upcoming first-ever Fast & Furious spin-off, Hobbs and Shaw starring franchise breakouts Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

The new spot was released during the big game tonight, showing off brand new footage from the upcoming film. The film will feature an unlikely team-up between Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw as they come together to take on the superhuman villain known as Brixton which is being played by Idris Elba.

Hobbs & Shaw is being directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2) from a script written by franchise veteran Chris Morgan. Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz and Seven Bucks Productions’ Hiram Garcia are producing the film. Here’s the official synopsis:

“A spinoff of The Fate of the Furious, focusing on Johnson’s US Diplomatic Security Agent Luke Hobbs forming an unlikely alliance with Statham’s Deckard Shaw.”

The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vanessa Kirby, Eddie Marsan, Eiza Gonzalez, and Idris Elba.
