Dwayne Johnson Shares ‘Rampage’ Behind-The-Scenes Images

Action star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson continues to hype his upcoming monster movie Rampage as production on Midway's arcade game adaptation ramps up.

Dwayne Johnson continues to promote the upcoming Rampage adaptation by showing more of the movie’s development process on social media, highlighting a motion-capture suit and two of his fellow co-stars.

Johnson shared the two images via Instagram. The first is a scene showing Johnson’s character trying to calm his gorilla companion, George, prior to the latter’s transformation into the kind of giant monster the Rampage series is known for. Johnson praises Weta Digital (who will turn actor Jason Liles into a gorilla in post-production) for the work they’ve already done and shares his anticipation for what they’ll do for his next movie.

While the above image emphasizes the digital effects that are going to be added to the movie in post-production, the second highlights a practical element with part of the cast standing in front of a real helicopter that will be used in filming. Johnson stands alongside his Rampage co-stars (Naomie Harris and Jeffery Dean Morgan) and the roles they all play in the monster mash.

Rampage will crush the box office on April 20, 2018. The film reunites Dwayne Johnson with director Brad Peyton (San Andreas), and also features a supporting cast that includes Naomie Harris, Malin Åkerman, Joe Manganiello, Jake Lacy, Marley Shelton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, P. J. Byrne, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald, and Breanne Hill.
