Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam Joins Zachary Levi’s Shazam In Awesome New Image

A new piece of fan art that imagines the future of the DC Extended Universe features Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam alongside Zachary Levi’s Shazam.

Dwayne Johnson is set to make his debut as Black Adam in a standalone movie set within the DCEU. Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia recently revealed that production on the movie should begin by the end of next year. DC Films plans to introduce Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam in his own movie before pitting the character against Zachary Levi’s Shazam in a Shazam! sequel.

While it may be a while before we see Dwayne Johnson join Zachary Levi in a Shazam! sequel, that’s not enough to stop fans from imagining what the two actors will eventually look like opposite one another. new artwork from digital artist Bryan Fiallos imagines the poster for a Shazam! sequel, pitting Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam against Zachary Levi’s superhero.

Here’s what Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam could look like opposite Zachary Levi in a Shazam! sequel!

What do you think? Are you excited for Dwayne Johnson’s debut as Black Adam? And are you looking forward to seeing Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam go head-to-head with Zachary Levi’s Shazam? Sound-off your thoughts in the comments!

A Shazam! sequel is currently in development with Zachary Levi set to reprise his role as the titular superhero. Henry Gayden, who wrote the first movie, is set to pen the screenplay for the sequel and David F. Sandberg is expected to return to the director’s chair. In the meantime, fans can rewatch Zachary Levi’s first Shazam! film on all home media formats. Here’s the official synopsis:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.

Shazam! is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Dwayne Johnson, Zachary Levi, Black Adam, and the Shazam! sequel!
