Groot Gives Eitri A Hand In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Concept Art

It’s hard to do anything if you don’t have any hands. Just as Eitri, as you’ll recall Thor, Rocket, and Groot’s visit to Eitri during Avengers: Infinity War in search of a weapon after Thor lost Mjolnir, as well as so many other things, in Thor: Ragnarok. Though in Thanos’ defense, after someone’s created an Infinity Gauntlet, why wouldn’t you take their arms in order to keep them from making something else?

But what if Eitri ended up with a hand after the creation of Stormbreaker? Well, let’s jump over to John Staub, who is a concept artist and illustrator at Marvel Studios and has worked on, among other various MCU films, Infinity War. Yesterday, Staub took to his Instagram page to share some concept art of Eitri literally receiving new arms as a thank you for the creation of Stormbreaker.

Per Staub’s description of the Infinity War concept art: “#keyframe concept exploring how #groot would help #eitri in the forge. I thought it would be cool if groot literally gave him a hand extending his tendrils and making them into arms. It was fun to think up different ideas for this one. Thanks for looking!” Here, have a look at Groot giving Eitri a literal hand in the artwork below:

Though Thor would probably have no reason as of now to pay Peter Dinklage’s character another visit, unless he needs some help going into Avengers: Untitled, it would be interesting to see if there was a way to pay Eitri back for the creation of Stormbreaker. Admittedly, Groot isn’t exactly one to provide arms and hands to Eitri right now given that he was snapped out of existence by Thanos.

But what do you think of the concept art? Would you have wanted to see Eitri receive some hands, courtesy of Groot? Let us know in the comments below.

Avengers: Infinity War is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
