‘Captain America: Civil War’ Concept Art Reveals A “Haunting” Look For Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch

New Captain America: Civil War concept art shows Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch with a “haunting” look.

Captain America: Civil War marked the second appearance of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, who has since become one of the strongest members of the Avengers. Scarlet Witch is set to play a much larger role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward, with the character returning in WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Many fans are hoping we eventually get to see Elizabeth Olsen with a comic book-accurate Scarlet Witch costume. Based on the brief glimpse we’ve seen from WandaVision, it looks like we will see a more comic booky look for Scarlet Witch in some form. On Instagram, Marvel Studios concept artist Andy Park shared a “haunting” look for Scarlet Witch from Captain America: Civil War and had this to say about the artwork:

“This is a closeup of the concept design I did of Scarlet Witch for Captain America: Civil War. I was going for “haunting” with this one. When I do my concept design illustrations I usually want to evoke a feeling. I didn’t want it to be scary. Still striking and beautiful… but haunting.”

Here is the official synopsis for WandaVision:

Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Directed by Matt Shakman with Jac Schaeffer as head writer, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, and Kathryn Hahn in an undisclosed role.

WandaVision is currently set to arrive on Disney Plus in December 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and subscribe to our YouTube channel!
