Elizabeth Olsen Gets The Iconic Scarlet Witch Look In Awesome Fan Art

One fan has taken it upon themselves to turn Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch from the Marvel Cinematic Universe into something closer to her comic book counterpart with some new fan art.

Since coming onto the scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff has never really looked like her comic book counterpart. She’s got the read color scheme, sure, but there’s no flowing cape or red headpiece. But then again, Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver didn’t have many similarities to the Quicksilver from the comics either, so the Magneto siblings have that much in common. Heck, even Emma Dumont’s Polaris on The Gifted recently fashioned herself a crown similar to that of her comic appearance.

But one artist, Nicole Angeles, took to her Instagram two days ago to share some fan art that reimagines Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch as something closer to what she looks like within the pages of Marvel comic books. Well, I say “reimagine,” but it’s more taking Elizabeth Olsen’s face and adding Scarlet Witch’s headpiece. We don’t get to see the majority of Olsen as the comic accurate Scarlet Witch. Nonetheless, let us know what you think of the artwork in the image below:

Perhaps once she gets her own Disney+ show, and is possibly brought back from the dead after getting dusted at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, maybe Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda will adopt something closer to her comic counterpart. After all, Vision has a cape. Or rather, he had a cape, so maybe Wanda will add that to her design. But what have you thought of the MCU’s take on the Scarlet Witch? Would you want to see Olsen eventually look closer to her comic counterpart or are you fine with the MCU’s design of Scarlet Witch as is? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
