But the new photos tease Kathryn Hahn’s role might be closely tied into the mysticism of the Marvel Universe.
New photos recently surfaced on Twitter showing Kathryn Hahn and two other actresses dressed in outfits from the Middle Ages, leading fans to speculate the actress is playing Agatha Harkness in Elizabeth Olsen’s WandaVision. Agatha Harkness was one of the original witches condemned by the Salem trials, but wound up teaching Scarlet Witch how to use real magic in the present day. WandaVision centers on Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch after the events of Avengers: Endgame and is believed to follow the character after she creates an idyllic world in which Paul Bettany’s Vision is still alive. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also confirmed WandaVision will lead directly into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will see Elizabeth Olsen reprise her role as Scarlet Witch. The first half of the series is set to take cues from multiple sitcoms over the decades, while the second half is said to be a Marvel blockbuster.
