Many years after writing the most successful film in the Iron Man trilogy, Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce posted to Instagram a photo of his seat at the table reading. In the caption, Pearce reveals that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke was also at the table reading, but did make it into the film due to script changes.
Downey, Cheadle, Emilia Clarke (long story, the script changed)… all vaguely terrifying.

As we have seen before, some actors who miss out on roles in the MCU sometimes emerge later down the line. So it’s always possible now that Game of Thrones has ended that Emilia Clarke could come back as another character and appear in a future Marvel Studios film. Perhaps Emilia Clarke will even come back as a mutant or member of the X-Men? Who knows!
