So over on Twitter, user DanielRPK, who has been known to have scoops from time to time, sent out a series of tweets today in regards to the news that Marvel Studios is looking to cast the role of two Eternals at the moment. Not necessarily everyone who will pop up in the film itself, but just two and that there’s a separate breakdown for just two of them. This, in turn, would indicate that they may appear in an upcoming MCU flick, as he indicates that they will “most likely” show up in a cosmic MCU film.
Well, Spider-Man: Far From Home might be away from New York, but right now there’s nothing cosmic about that movie, as far as we know. And with there being now three MCU films in a year, that narrows it down to Captain Marvel or Avengers: Untitled. Or Avengers 4. Whatever you prefer to call it. And the two Eternals in question, according to Mr. RPK’s tweets, are Karen and Sprite. Have a look for yourself in the tweet below:
So perhaps, like Thanos showing up briefly at the end of The Avengers, this could be planting the seeds for the Eternals so they’re already in the minds of moviegoers before they make their grand debut in their own feature film. And while Daniel says that Avengers 4 is more likely, “likely” isn’t 100 percent, so perhaps it could go either way. Plus, Captain Marvel is undergoing reshoots right now, so perhaps the additional photography could be for that? Who is to say?
