Well, until the film hits theaters next year, we have no idea, but perhaps we can get somewhat of an idea based on Chris Evans’ words when he recently spoke to fans at ACE Comic-Con. There, he noted that his final line filmed as Captain America during the reshoots for Avengers 4 was, in his words, something really stupid and dumb that he, naturally, also cannot give away. Of course.
That’s not much to go off of, sure, but to go a bit further, Chris Evans did state that the line may have came during a scene with Scott Lang, last seen trapped in the Quantum Realm in the end of Ant-Man & the Wasp. Who knows? Perhaps Cap will let Scott know that, like Bucky, he’s with him until the end of the line. Maybe he will let Thanos know that he can do this all day. Or maybe it’s one last reminder that the Avengers should watch their mouth with their language.
Hey, Chris Evans did say the line is something stupid, so what better way for Captain America to end his tenure than with the line that the rest of the Avengers ripped him for throughout the entirety of Avengers: Age of Ultron? Ultimately, what do you think Cap’s final line or even moment will be in Avengers 4? Should this be the end of the line for him? And do you think you’ll actually hear him say “Avengers assemble” on screen? Let us know in the comments below.
Avengers: Infinity War is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD. The still-untitled Avengers 4 will hit theaters next year on May 3, 2019.
