With Ben Affleck’s version of Batman now presumably shelved and a new iteration of The Dark Knight hero set to hit cinemas in the coming years, along with the already announced Birds of Prey film, fans are throwing out their top casting choices and costume selections for the next round of Bat-villains. Now, via some awesome fan art, we have a cool look at what Ewan McGregor may look like as Roman Sionis, AKA Black Mask, in the upcoming film release of Birds of Prey starring Margot Robbie. Check it out and let us know what you think down in the comments below!

With Black Mask set to be the main villain in the upcoming Birds of Prey release, what’s your thoughts if McGregor’s portrayal of the villain looked like this? Do you think that his face should actually be shown at all or should he don the mask whole film? McGregor clearly has the acting chops for this role and based on the fan art there is some great potential for him to look the part as well!

Full details on the Birds of Prey plot are currently unknown, though the film is said to center on Huntress, Black Canary, and Harley Quinn joining forces to protect Cassandra Cain when she comes into the possession of a diamond belonging to a criminal kingpin known as Black Mask.

DC Comics’ Birds of Prey are an international crimefighting team featuring heroines such as Oracle (Barbara Gordon), Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance) and the Huntress (Helena Bertinelli). The comic book team’s current lineup consists of Black Canary, Huntress, and Lady Blackhawk, along with Hawk and Dove.

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script penned by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Ewan, McGregor as Black Mask, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Ali Wong, Robert Catrini, and Michael Masini have also been cast in undisclosed roles.
