Spoilers ahead for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier episode 6.
If you’ve been avidly watching The Falcon and The Winter Soldier each week, you’ll know that Sam Wilson’s big dilemma since the start of the series is how he can take up the mantle of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And after plenty of soul searching (with a dramatic secret revealed by Isaiah Bradley) the hero has finally come to accept that Captain America can represent the idealist vision of the country while still holding it accountable for some of its actions in the past.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier‘s finale wasted no time in revealing the Wakandan gift Sam received in the previous episode, giving Sam Wilson his comic accurate Captain America suit for the MCU in all its red, white, and blue glory. He didn’t betray his opinions just because he now wears the flag either, forcing the Global Repatriation Council to see that it was harming the world rather than helping it. Take a look at the new suit in the MCU below.
What did you think to the finale? Are you impressed by Sam’s new Captain America suit? When do you think we’ll see him again in the MCU? Sound-off in the comments below!
